Science is catching up with Psychology and the research is affirming what all Gestalt and body oriented therapist have known intuitively. That healing from emotional and physical injury (Trauma) begins with awareness in your body. If there is something stopping you from having the life that you know you deserve, it is probably the chronic stress response and/or held trauma which has not been released from your body. You can let go by following the natural process of your body which is scientifically explained by Peter Levine and Bessil Van Der Kolk.
I will help you to understand what is going on in your body, whether you are in a constant state of anxiety or severely depressed or swinging from both extremes. You will begin to trust yourself as you develop the ability to stay present in your body regaining personal power.
Therapy with me is alive and dynamic. Though I will teach you ways to become connected to yourself, you will be an active participant a creative process. Regaining your capacity to activate all of your personal energy. I work with Mindfulness, Gestalt, Integrated Body Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing based therapy.
